National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) Since 1979, NAMI has been dedicated to improving the lives of individuals and families affected by mental illness. NAMI is the most formidable grassroots mental health advocacy organization in the country, able to build on its success and continue to focus on three cornerstones of activity that offer hope, reform, and health to our American community: Awareness, Education, and Advocacy. 
World Fellowship for Schizophrenia and Allied Disorders (WFSAD) The World Fellowship for Schizophrenia and Allied Disorders (WFSAD) is the only global grassroots organization dedicated to lightening the burden of schizophrenia and other serious mental illnesses for sufferers and their families. WFSAD strives to increase knowledge, understanding and compassion and reduce the fear, stigma, discrimination and abuse that accompany these difficult conditions. WFSAD and its member organizations focus on the humane treatment of people with schizophrenia and other serious mental illnesses and on their primary care, which falls frequently upon the family, most often the parents, and can last a lifetime.  
Homeless Persons Representation Project (HPRP) The Homeless Persons Representation Project (HPRP), a non-profit organization, provides legal services and systemic advocacy on behalf of people who are homeless or at risk of homelessness.
